JAM:
It is one minute session in this they will give one topic you need to speak on that within a minute
for this you need to update with latest technology.
My IBM interview process
Written test:
Initially they will give one paper which consists of IBM coupon No, user name and password
link. This is the online test which consists of number series problems (2:40 sec for each question
total 18 questions) aptitude (2:40 sec for each question total 18 questions). This was tough for
me at last I qualified in this round.
English communication written test:
In this round they have given big paragraph news about IBM Company we have to write an
email to the client by solving the problems and actions taken for that. We need to write 6
headlines lines from that paragraph. This is 15min session
This is also tough for me I wrote only 3 head lines. I thought that I might not qualify the round
but initially writing the email I wrote “Hello sir” then 3 headlines then “thanking you” that was
things I done in the paper. The quoted words made me to get out of this round instead of seeing
all 6 headlines.
Group Discussion:
This is also tough for me they have given topic “Why can’t India world class player in
manufacturing “. Initially I don’t know about the topic but caught the points from others than I
spoke other points related to that topic. In this round they have checked my communication,
clarity of thoughts, behavior. In this round out of 15 members group they have selected 10
members. Thank god one of the member in that 10.
Technical Round:
This is the easiest round for me. Initially hr asked me
HR: Tell me about yourself?
Me: I told tell me about yourself answer which I mentioned in the hr questions
HR: What are your hobbies?
Me: Collecting software’s, Reading books.
HR: what type of software’s?
Me: Technical software, audio, video software’s, etc
HR: what is the latest book you read?
Me: The Corporate Chanakya, I told about that, it tells how a person to be in this corporate field.
He was impressed with answers he asked me the author of that book because he wants to read
that book. He suggested me to read bhagavat geeta so that I can you know about this world. He
suggested me to read it so many times.
HR: Tell me about your project?
Me: I told about my project.
HR: Tell me OOPs concepts.
Me: told
HR: If I give you one project how will you assign it to your team members?
Me: I said. The person who is good at programming I’ll assign application development.
Whoever good at planning I’ll assign designing ….etc. he was very much impressed with this
answer. He said I am selected for next round
PDM round:
This is the toughest round. In this round he asked me “Tell me about you?”
HR: write a program for factorial?
Me: I wrote this program in 3 different ways?
HR: he asked me one question about dice and probability this is tough question for it has taken
half hour time to me to understand.
What is the maximum count how many times appear if throws the pair of dice?
(1, 1)(1, 2)(1, 3)(1, 4)(1, 5)(1, 6)
(2, 1)(2, 2)(2, 3)(2, 4)(2, 5)(2, 6)
(3, 1)(3, 2)(3, 3)(3, 4)(3, 5)(3, 6)
(4, 1)(4, 2)(4, 3)(4, 4)(4, 5)(4, 6)
(5, 1)(5, 2)(5, 3)(5, 4)(5, 5)(5, 6)
(6, 1)(6, 2)(6, 3)(6, 4)(6, 5)(6, 6)
Min count of 1 pair is (1, 1) =1+1=2
Max count of 1 pair is (6, 6) =6+6=12
The count should be in between 2 and 12
In the above pairs (1, 6) =1+6=7
See in the diagonal you can get count=7 , 6times i.e. (1, 6)(2, 5)(3, 4)(4, 3)(5, 2)(6, 1)
So probability =6/36=1/6
This is one of tough question I solved in the interview
And one last question….
HR: (x+a) (x+b) (x+c) =kx3+mx2+nx+p. Here he asked me to find the value of ‘n’.
Here one twist I should not use the pen and paper. Here he said if I say the correct answer he will
give the job. He wants give 30min time. Initially was tensed, I remembered the question in my
mind after calculating within 5min I solved.
At last I cleared my PDM round. I got selected for IBM.
This is my experience with IBM. Please friends follow the instruction which I have given this
document so that you can get the job in first attempt itself. Do hard work. Be patient, be
confident, don’t get disappoint if you fail. Try many times. This is my 25th interview. Initially I
am poor at aptitude I practiced aptitude books for 3 months. For IBM I work hard for 30days at
last I reached my dream company.
Thank you,
Yours Sincerely
